Amy Newman, age 71, born January 29, 1954, passed away peacefully on September 4,2025. She grew up in Milton, Massachusetts, received her education in Boston and Los Angeles, and later resided in Los Angeles. Amy pursued two careers during her lifetime. She earned an Occupational Therapy degree from Boston University and worked for ten years in medicine, finishing as Director of Occupational Therapy at Simi Valley Adventist Hospital. After receiving an MBA in Business Management and Marketing at Pepperdine in Los Angeles, Amy spent 40 years in the world of judicial arbitration, where she ultimately became President of Alternative Resolutions Centers (ARC) in Los Angeles. Alongside her career, Amy wrote the book “Eternally Single” to encourage women that they can live fulfilling lives without marriage. She also designed jewelry for the professional woman and was an avid horseback rider. Amy was most proud of her greatest accomplishment, which was giving birth to her daughter Lindsey, who is following in her mother’s footsteps as a successful businesswoman.
Amy’s warmth, insight, and determination touched all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on both her professional communities and personal circles..
She will be profoundly missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
Amy is survived by her daughter Lindsey Newman, her family and friends, and her dog Jackson, who has found a new caring home

Jackson Newman

You are the best mommy a dog could ever want and I know you have saved so many dogs like me. Your friends have found me a beautiful new home with other doggies, but I will never forget how well you took care of me.
