Barbara A. Horowitz

Barbara Ann Horowitz, nee Schacht, born October 29, 1938, in Stamford, CT, and raised with her older brother, Ron, in the loving home of her parents, Saul and Faye Schacht. For the last 35 years of her life, she fought and won battles against squamous cell throat cancer and three occurrences of chronic myeloid leukemia along with a myriad of side effects from the remedies. She passed peacefully in the company of her family in the early hours of Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Barb will be remembered as the wife and soulmate of her loving husband, Hal, the mother of Ken (Kellye) Moses, Sheri Moses, and Brian Horowitz, and as Grammy to Shelby, Alysia, Mitch, and Sadie. Her perseverance and will to overcome the many assaults on her body was an inspiration to many. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm PST on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Simi Valley, CA.
