David Allen Slusser, 69, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, passed away on March 7, 2026.

Born on August 31, 1956, David graduated from Fairdale High School as a member of the Class of 1974. He proudly served in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant, and participated in Operation Desert Storm, receiving multiple commendations before his honorable discharge.

Out of everything he accomplished in his life, David considered his greatest accomplishment to be his role as a father and grandfather. He loved his family deeply and valued the time he shared with both his immediate and extended family.

David is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Trese Marie Slusser; his daughters, Patricia Slusser, Jennifer Slusser (Robert Longbottom), and Erica McFarlane (Robert McFarlane); his beloved granddaughter, Cassandra Longbottom; his sister, Debra Morse; his cousins, Janis Basket, Diora Carter, and Frank Nelson; his nieces, Debra Adams, Meaghan McHale, Rachel Ramsey, and Mechelle Williams; and his nephews, Matthew Morse, Ryan Morse, Clayton Peak, Jeffery Slusser, and Joshua Slusser.

Cremation was entrusted to Cremation Society of Kentucky, Louisville, KY. His remains will remain in the care of his wife and daughters.

In lieu of services, the family invites those who wish to honor David’s memory to consider a donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (https://t2t.org/) or another charity that supports veterans.
