1954 -2022
What a difference a day made for Michael. His heart gave out, while he was standing on his front porch in the early morning of October 2nd. Ironic, for a man who had such a big one — full of love for his family and friends. Michael was born, raised, and lived in Woodland Hills. He attended El Camino Real High School and California State University Northridge, where he graduated with a B.A. in political science. He worked in the moving industry, overseeing packing and storage, until his retirement in 2016. Michael no doubt remained youthful because of his love of sports, especially baseball. Mike Trout of the Angels was his favorite player, and he often made the drive to Anaheim. He enjoyed collecting sports trading cards and comics. He looked forward to any and all new movie releases, especially Marvel ones. Michael traveled to Israel a few times, and also enjoyed visiting Napa, becoming a major wine enthusiast. He was always cheerful and full of laughs, hiding the fact that his twin brother Marshall passed away in 1972. His life was simple and pure. Michael was the type of person who enjoyed helping others in any way that he could. He became a caregiver to his late maternal Grandmother Sara, and his father, Ralph when Parkinson\'s struck. Make-A-Wish Foundation meant the world to him because he enjoyed supporting youngsters. He is predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Ralph Mehlworm, and by his brother Marshall. He is survived by an array of first cousins, and will be laid to rest near his family at Mt. Sinai Hollywood.
