Marcia Steinhorn

Marcia Steinhorn (nee Rosen), of Woodland Hills, California, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at age 93. She leaves behind her loving family: her children, Susan Lowry and Ken Steinhorn (Alejandra Varela); her three grandchildren, Griffin Lowry, Sophia Steinhorn, and Isabelle Steinhorn; her former daughter-in-law, July Castro Steinhorn; adoring nieces, Debby Hellman and Wendy Davis; and many extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Alex Steinhorn, and her devoted partner, Hank Greenberg. 

Marcia’s smile was radiant.  She kept friends for life.  Every day she laughed, learned, listened and loved.  She did not judge  —  she cared.  

Savvy and elegant, she played piano and made excellent use of her library card. Always artistic, when the pandemic began she decided to teach herself pastel painting and was finally willing to call herself an artist just before her first art show at the age of 92. 

She adored her family and friends, and delighted in her grandchildren, who found her awesome.  We all did.
