                                         Marcy Lynn Gribin Sanchez

                                 January 15, 1980 - October 30, 2024

We are saddened by the passing of our beloved Marcy.  She is survived by her husband Christopher, mother Jane, sister and best friend Amy, uncle Richard, nephew Polo, niece Penelope, aunts, uncles and a large extended family and friends. Her bubbly personality brought joy into the lives of everyone she came into contact with.

She had such a good heart and was kind to all, with a special affection towards animals.  Over the years she rescued and adopted her pets from various shelters, offering them a good and loving home and a life she knew they wouldn’t have had otherwise.  Most recently, she adopted her “boys”, Lance, Oliver and Finn, who she loved dearly and still sit by the door waiting for her to come home.

She was devoted to social justice and fought passionately for the underserved.  A graduate of Occidental College, she was president of her sorority.  She graduated from law school at the University of California at Davis and went on as an attorney to fight for justice by helping tenants get the rights they so deserved. A fervent believer in democracy, most recently, she devoted each evening to calling and texting to urge people to vote.

She was young at heart.  Her favorite destination was Disneyland.  Knowing this, that’s where Chris proposed to her.  Showering her nephew and niece, Polo and Penelope with love and gifts and her enthusiasm in finding and playing only the most fun games, made her the best “auntie”!  She would spend hours playing games and laughing with them.  She will always be remembered for her contagious laugh and fun-loving spirit.

One of the best times of her life was creating and planning her wedding and the most joyous was marrying Chris.

We will miss her brightness, her talents, her style, her joy, her sense of justice and the love and friendship she shared with so many.  She will be missed immensely!

I had the pleasure of working with Marcy on cases at Klinedinst and can attest that she was a gentle soul with a kind heart. She had a great demeanor and was kind, calm and centered. Her passing at such a young age is so tragic and impossible to understand. We are very sad for your family's loss and send prayers of peace and strength to your family.

My condolences to all of Marcy’s loved ones, including her fur babies. I worked with her at Klinedinst and she was just as kind and sweet as she has been described here.

Although we are all saddened by Marcy's untimely passing, please know that Marcy's essence is not gone. Such powerful energy cannot be destroyed, it can only change form. Please take some comfort in knowing that the energy, which I believe is the essence of Marcy, continues to exist. Though we may not be able to see that energy, until it is our time, it absolutely continues to exist. I am very confident of this. With that, I hope and pray that Marcy continues her journey through eternity, and continues to spread joy and happiness to all soles she encounters.
