Mona H Freedman

Mona Helayne Freedman was born on February 4, 1962 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The daughter of the late Dr. Sheldon Freedman and Beth Freedman of Bakersfield California A curious and loving child, Mona flourished as a youngster at Camp Green Lane in Pennsylvania. It was a place she shared with her sister Hope and brothers Michael and Bryan. It was truly a place for Mona “where happiness counted”. Upon graduating high school, Mona attended UCLA for two years and ultimately finished her undergraduate studies by obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree at UCSB. Thereafter, Mona continued her post graduate education by going to law school and obtaining her Juris Doctorate. As a young lawyer Mona helped countless women through the filing of class action lawsuits to recover damages as a result of injuries these women suffered from faulty breast implants. It was her fierce advocacy and unwavering dedication to these women that fueled Mona’s passion as a relentless advocate fearlessly fighting huge companies. As a result of Mona’s zealous advocacy, many women were able to improve their health and quality of life through significant monetary recoveries. After her move to Bakersfield, Mona developed a unique relationship with law enforcement which led to her obtaining a true specialty of helping those in trouble with traffic violations. The subject matter did not matter to Mona. It was always about utilizing her legal skills for the benefit of her clients. Mona was always about helping others. Mona leaves a long list of loved ones whose lives have been improved by simply knowing her. Her kind and caring disposition will never be forgotten. As the group Styx said and Mona loved to repeat “Babe I Love You.”
