Recuerdos

Mom, Grandma, GG lived a long, exciting life. She was a kind, loving, giving, busy, smart, fashionable and classy lady. She was born in Aachen, Germany in 1932 and then luckily escaped to Bolivia and lived there until she was 18. She enthusiastically spent the rest of her life as a proud American citizen. She was Tri-lingual, balancing her checkbook in German or Spanish. She married Dad, David Kramer, in 1952 who sadly passed away a week before their 40th anniversary. They had a fun-filled life square-dancing, socializing with their many friends, enjoyed live theater and traveled often, which included 28 cruises. They had two children, Kathy and Craig. Kathy made her a Grandma with her two daughters Monica and Kirdy. With their children she became a proud GG to Jordyn, 14, Irie, 7 and Dashel, “The Little Guy”, 4.

Mom enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, gardening, reading and shopping - Did I say shopping? She passionately worked in the Kidney Dialysis industry as a New Facilities Director for most of her adult life. After retiring she volunteered as an Ombudsman and as an usher at the Thousand Oaks Civic Auditorium until she was 83. She became a head usher and bragged about being on the payroll making $6.00 an hour! She reluctantly stopped volunteering when she wasn’t allowed to usher with her walker. She was NOT happy. Mom had so many friends that there wouldn’t be enough room to list them. We had numerous wonderful experiences with Mom and will miss her beautiful smile every day.

In lieu of flowers it would fill Mom’s heart to make donations to either The American Pancreatic Association, The American Kidney Foundation, The Ombudsman Association or the California Gay Men’s Choir. Thank you.
