Edward B Robin

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Ed Robin. Husband of Peggy Robin (married 58 years) Brother of Rochelle (Alan z”l) Siegel  Father of Jill (Nat) Linhardt & Richard (Nurit) Robin Grandfather of Jake (Samantha) Linhardt, Heather (Eric) Linhardt, Sarah (Yon) Douek, Daniel Linhardt, Max Linhardt, Eliana Robin, Yonit Robin, and Maya Robin Ed was a devoted and loving family man as well as an exceptional leader.   He and Peggy along with their family have been long time engaged members of VBS, celebrating many simchot with us.  Without fanfare, he had taken on extraordinary responsibilities in the local, national and international Jewish community.  A retired attorney and insurance executive, Ed’s service includes but is certainly not limited to senior leadership in the L.A. Jewish Federation, NCSJ, IPF, Jerusalem Press Club, and The Wende Museum. He was actively involved in the liberation of Soviet Jewry.  Ed co-chaired the Soviet Jewry freedom rally in Washington, D.C., attracting over 250,000 people in 1987.  Eventually, he became the Chair of the National Conference of Soviet Jewry and worked to sustain Jewish life in Eastern Europe.

He will be missed by all.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 - 2:30pm at Mount Sinai Memorial Park 6150 Mt Sinai Drive, Simi Valley

Immediately following the funeral there will be a reception at approximately 5:00 at Valley Beth Shalom 15739 Ventura Boulevard, Encino Mincha and Maariv Services will be followed by a light supper May his memory be a blessing. Nat S Linhardt
