Gerald Irvin Kippen

Gerald Irvin Kippen, aged 87, passed away on July 26, 2024, in Burbank, California. Born on June 15, 1937, in Louisville, Kentucky, Gerald dedicated 47 years of his life serving as a court administrator, contributing significantly to the judicial system.A proud veteran, Gerald served in the Army reserves for 5 years, where he embraced the discipline and camaraderie that military life offered. His commitment to service was evident both in and out of uniform.Gerald was an alumnus of the University of Louisville, which laid the foundation for his illustrious career in law and justice. His love for reading kept him engaged with the world and its vast histories and narratives.He leaves behind a loving family, including his sisters Sharron Adamski and Deborah Howard; his children Philip Kippen, Hilary Kippen-Alcantar, and Matthew Kippen; and his cherished ten grandchildren. Gerald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Kippen.The family has entrusted Mount Sinai Memorial Parks at 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA, with the funeral arrangements. Gerald's life and service will be commemorated in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
