Jay Blumberg, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, businessman, philanthropist, and friend died on May 25th, 2022 in Santa Monica.  Jay was born on June 17, 1950 in Chicago, the son of Sidney and Reva Blumberg.  His devotion to his family was limitless.  He lived his life making the most of every moment with the people he loved and, with his wife of 27 years, Melanie Pozez, expanding the circle of people he loved and supported along with their rescued dogs and cats, treating each of them with unwavering kindness and generosity.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Melanie, their children, Shawn and Jason Blumberg, their daughters-in-law, Lauren George and Sara Sanchez, their grandchildren, Alma Blumberg-Sanchez, Arlo Blumberg-Sanchez, Maxwell Blumberg, and Sidney Blumberg.  He also was extremely close with his niece and nephew Kerri and John Schneider and their children, Isabel and Diana Schneider.  His family and friends are devastated by the loss of this sweet, incredible man.  Jay’s life and legacy will forever inspire his family and the many people who loved him.
