Judith Ann Weiss

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Judith Ann Weiss, 82, who left us peacefully on July 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Judy was born on January 14, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York to Gabriel and Elsie Cohen. She later moved to Roslyn, Long Island where she grew up alongside her two siblings. 

Judy was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She met her husband of 56 years, Mel, at a dance in New York, and according to her sister, it was clear from the minute they met that they were meant to be together. Judy and Mel married in 1968 and later moved to California where they raised their four children. Judy is survived by her children, Glen, Ali (John), Andrea and Lindsay, grandchildren, Tyler, Baylie, Jayden, Kelsie and Samantha, and siblings, Helen and Arthur. Judy is preceded in death by her loving husband Mel, who left us just three months prior.  The inseparable bond between Judy and Mel was known to all, especially their children.  She will be deeply missed, and her family takes solace knowing that Judy and Mel are together once again. 

Judy dedicated her life to raising her children, and spending as much time with her grandchildren as time allowed.  Judy loved makeup, jewelry and bright red nail polish, and her love of shopping led her to open and run a children's clothing store, Serendipity, for many years.  After retirement, Judy and Mel moved to Palm Desert, CA, where they enjoyed many years spending time with close friends.  They later moved back to Ventura County to remain close to their children and grandchildren, but the two continued to travel for many years.  

Judy’s kindness, bright soul, humor, and strength will live on in our hearts forever.
