Marshall L. Shrago

Husband of Carol Shrago; Father of Henri Shrago; Father-in-law of Calli Shrago; Son of Ben and Ruth Shrago; Uncle of Rabbi Heath Watenmaker and Michelle Vandenburg; Brother-in-law of Steve and Miriam Watenmaker. Marshall was a business owner of Holiday Hardware in Simi Valley/Thousand Oaks/Valencia and had a passion for serving the community and creating lifelong relationships. He was a leader in the Simi Valley community and over the years gave countless hours of his life to the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise, Guide Dogs of America, Boy Scouts of America, Congregation B\'nai Emet, Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce, and local youth sports leagues. Marshall served proudly in the U.S. Naval Air Reserve, and was last stationed at NAS Point Mugu with fighter squadron VF-30 (now VFA-305) in the late 60\'s-early 70\'s. Marshall touched those fortunate enough to know him; with his kind and caring heart, great wisdom, and funny sense of humor. He was a beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. Marshall will be missed dearly.

Marshall was one of my favorite cousins. When I was a kid, I often visited his family with my Dad and my sister Donna. I remember going to Marshall\'s Bar Mitzvah in the early 1960s. Everyone danced to Chubby Checker and did the twist. The home rec room was crammed full of Ben\'s and Marshall\'s bowling trophies. The visits bring back nothing but happy memories. My younger years were made a little better for having known The Shragos.
