Audrey Carole Weber

On Sunday, June 12, 2022, Audrey Carole Weber, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at the age of 92. Audrey was born on January 21, 1930 in New York.  She moved to California at a young age and briefly attended UCLA, where she met her future husband, Edward.  Together, Audrey and Edward raised two children (Marc and Robin), founded a synagogue, and owned and operated several successful businesses, including a number of print shops.  Later in life, Audrey worked as a bookkeeper and prided herself on being able to account for every cent. Audrey was many things.  Audrey was a giver.  She put everyone else’s needs before her own, and her home was always open to family members and friends.  Audrey was an activist.  She believed strongly in civil rights and liberties, donated religiously to the ACLU, and loved to discuss current events and politics (particularly over a margarita).  Audrey was a fighter.  She defeated breast cancer, lung cancer, and a stroke.  Not even a broken neck could keep her down (or away from her weekly Mahjongg games). Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Ed.  She is survived by her son Marc, her daughter Robin, her grandchildren (David, Sarah, Charles, and Valerie) and her many great grandchildren.  A funeral service will be held on June 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills, located at 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068.  Donations may be sent (in lieu of flowers) to the American Civil Liberties Union (“ACLU”) at https://action.aclu.org/give/now.
