Rest in peace Bart.

I’m so sorry that the world has lost Barton…he was my cousin, as his maternal Grandpa and my paternal Grandpa were brothers. (Karsh). Our families used to visit during the late 50’s & 60’s. and just about 5 years ago, my Aunt sent me some old photos taken in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. One of them was of Barton, Joel, & Mickey’s mom, Aunt Lil, when she was very young. I looked up Barton, and called to tell him that our Aunt Marlene sent me some old family photos. I asked about how his life and learned so many wonderful things about him. He was so great to talk with, and I was so thrilled to reconnect with him & find out how his life had been. He ended up sending me a few photos from when my Dad (Eugene Karsh), worked at his dad, Eddie’s market. I remembered Barton from 50 years ago, and getting to know him again, this time as a grown-up, was wonderful. From our lengthy conversations, it was easy to see that he was a loving man & a very special person. My condolences to his wife & family; to Mickey, and to all of Barton’s loving relatives. He was a beloved man and a gift to us all. ?
