Beverly A. Moore

With sadness our mother, Beverly Moore, passed away last night, October 14, 2026. She was 84. She grew up in Baldwin Hills and spent the majority of her life living on the Westside, in Santa Monica and Venice.

 

She loved to travel and took every chance she could to go to new places.  She loved food; taking walks; being the last one on the dance floor (especially at all the b'nai mitzvahs and weddings), and of course her family, especially playing with her grandchildren. Unfortunately, the last few years she had suffered from the effects of a stroke that limited her ability to do many of these, but she always enjoyed most the time with family.

 

Beverly is survived by her children Todd Moore, Michele Moore, and Rhonda Ortiz; her son-in-law Ruben Ortiz Torres; and her grandchildren, Lily, River, Ezra, AJ, Regina, and Naomi.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Sinai Simi Valley (6150 Mount Sinai Drive, Simi Valley, CA 93063).
