In Loving Memory of Carole Evelyn Zide

August 18th, 1937 – August 19th, 2024

   Carole Zide passed away on August 19th, 2024 in Valley Village, California at the age of 87. She is survived by her children, Flint and Glen. She is proceeded in death by her sister Vivian Fox, daughter Robin O’Biecunas and husband Thomas Zide .   

   Carole was born on August 18th, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Nathan & Emily Fox. She lived in Chicago during her youth before moving to California.    She married Thomas Zide, the love of her life, in 1957. They welcomed three children into their home: Robin, Glen, and Flint.

In time her offspring added six grandchildren & 2 great grandsons to the family.Carole’s career was as an expert travel agent and remained one for over 54 years -working until the age of 86 yrs old. She formed her own agency called Holiday Emporium, in Studio City.Before she joined forces with Willet Travel & lastly Frosch.  She also was very active with the Studio City’s Chamber of Commerce served as a Board of Director. Carole was awarded BPW’s Woman of Achievement in 2012. And received award plaques from the City of Los Angeles. She is remembered as a kind, loving, witty mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother as well as a dear friend to many. Carole always kept photos of her loved ones close and enjoyed sharing them with her beloved friends and coworkers.

Carole & her husband Tom were passionate about the USC Trojan League and often attended basketball and football games. They were very much the “Spirit of Troy”

Tom was a Proud Alumni of USC Law School.   

The funeral will be held on Wednesday August 28th at 1PM at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, CA. Located at 5950 Forest Lawn Drive. A Double Memorial has been planned for both Carole & her husband-Thomas Zide, who had passed away earlier in the year. 

This memorial will be held at 4800 Heaven Ave, Woodland Hills, CA 91364 directly following the cemetery service.
