How did you meet Elliot?
I was hired in 1985 by Mr. Elliot S. Berkowitz, I worked for him 15 years. Boss man like I nickname him was such a great boss, kind and very professional, I got very close to him and saw him as my mentor, as a father figured. I remembered when his Fury friend die Milton, Bossman was so sad, for the first time I saw him break. Miss Roberta also suffer for this loss, Milton was like a son to them. Boss man will talk about his maid from Guatemala 🇬🇹 someone he saw as a mother, the love he had for his maid was so nice, sweet and kind. I also am from G

How did you meet Elliot?
I met Elliot in 1964. We lived in Lindenwood. He was a guest at my sweet 16 party in 1965. I then became friends with his sister, Joyce, who is my Closet friend to this day. My mother and Elliot’s mother, Lila were very Dear friends. Having said all that, Elliot was too young to Leave us. May he rest in peace with Roberta, and his sister Cindy, and his beloved Parents.

How sad to hear of my old friend’s passing. The Berkowitz household was Friends’ Central for our crowd in Howard Beach, Queens. Always waiting for a night out shooting pool. Elliot loved his middle name so he was ESB when we weren’t annoyed with him. He also loved his ‘67 GTO. For a very self- effacing guy he loved his ‘stuff’ including a vast collection of mini liquors from his dad’s wine & liquor store. We met as High School sophs and remained in touch until he moved west for law school. He and I shared a love of history early on and he sensed his path back then. Ironically his parents ended up moving to the same block as my in-laws so we would meet up and shoot-the-breeze from time to time. I am sorry not to know the man he became. Sleep well and may your memory be a blessing. Kennard

My dear Elliot Berkowitz, my heart was sadden to hear of your passing. I could not let this day past without saying something. You were the greatest attorney that anyone could ask for. I appreciate the hard work you put in for me against the City of Los Angeles. I can write a book about you, but I will stop here. I send my condolences to your family. My prayers are with you! Rest well Attorney Berkowitz.

Great Guy and always gracious but tenacious. Somehow, he never noticed I was black. Treated me fairly and was willing to educate at a whim. My condolences to his wonderful family -- whom he only had great things to say about them. Never heard him raise his voice or use a cuss word. One of my favorite people! rod
