John Edwin Rodgers, age 76, a retired Los Angeles police officer of 27 years, passed away peacefully in his CA home on May 30, 2024. He is survived by his sons Johnny, Steven, Michael and a daughter Kristina. He is also survived by 4 stepchildren: Robin, Randi, Ronna and Rod. He also is survived by 13 grand children and 2 great grandkids. He is also survived by one older brother-Bill Rodgers. John loved life and was a very friendly and a super outgoing person.  He enjoyed playing sports-especially baseball and basketball. He excelled at sports throughout his life and he was very passionate about helping coach others and teaching them to love the games.  He loved watching Dodgers baseball games. He will be greatly missed by everyone that loved him. He was laid to rest and there was a beautiful service on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 1 pm at Mount Sinai Memorial in Hollywood Hills, California. There was a special LAPD flag ceremony honoring him at the grave site and presenting the flag to the family.  We love you dad and may you rest in peace.
