Mitchell “Mitch” Scott Brachman, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 31, 2025, in Los Angeles, California.

Born on January 21, 1961, in Hempstead, New York, Mitch was the son of Leon and Susan Brachman. He attended the University of Michigan, where he earned a degree in political science, before completing law school at American University in Washington, D.C. Mitch dedicated over 35 years to his career as an attorney, building a reputation for his integrity and commitment.

In 1987, Mitch married the love of his life, Sheila. Together they built a home filled with laughter, support, and love. Their 38 years of marriage were marked by countless shared experiences and an unwavering devotion to one another and to their two daughters, Erin and Rachel.

Mitch was a loyal sports fan — rooting for the Mets, the Buffalo Bills, and his beloved Michigan Wolverines. Later in life, his daughters expanded his roster of teams to include TCU and Syracuse, and he cheered just as enthusiastically for them.

Family and friends remember Mitch for his warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit. He was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved, whether watching a game, sharing a meal, or simply being together. He cared deeply about others and found joy in their happiness.

Mitch is survived by his wife, Sheila; his daughters, Erin and Rachel; and his sister, Linda. His love, loyalty, and steady presence will be forever treasured by those who knew him.
