Robert Gordon Meyer, known as Bob to everyone, was born on February 20, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey.  He was the oldest child of Stan and Bertha Meyer. He, his parents and sister Paula moved to California when he was in his early teens.  He graduated from Van Nuys High School with several of his friends. Through his dear friends, Bob met the love of his life Jean Taub.  Bob and Jean were married for 49 years and had two children, Alan and Dana.  They lived in Van Nuys, Reseda, and Northridge through the years.  Bob worked at his business doing direct mailing advertising for over fifty years.  Bob and Jean enjoyed taking cruises with their friends, and attending LA King's hockey games.  After Jean passed, Bob continued on keeping up with his many friends, having weekly lunches, playing poker every other week and watching his many television shows.

Bob is remembered by his loving family: Dana and Jeff Pope (Daughter and Son in Law), Alan and Cyndi Meyer (Son and Daughter in Law); 5 Grandchildren: Timothy, Amanda, Megan, Brianna, and Steven; and 3 Great Grandchildren: Victoria, Lincoln, and Macklen; and Esther Herzig, Sister in Law.

Rod and Barbara

Dear Bob, sorry you had to go through all that pain and suffering. However, now you are at peace. I will certainly miss our calls and time together. If I would have known the last time we spoke, would be the last time I would have shared how much I cherished our friendship. Not to worry, your family will be fine, but we all will miss you terribly.
