William H Rosenblum

July 8th, 1947 - April 26th, 2023

July 8th, 1947 - April 26th, 2023

William “Bill” Herman Rosenblum passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023, at 75 years old, surrounded by his loved ones. Bill was loyal, trustworthy, humble, reliable, and kind, and he prioritized family over everything else. Born in the Bronx on July 8th, 1947, to Jack and Adele, and raised in Queens, Bill graduated from Long Island University before moving across the country to start a new life in Los Angeles - although he was forever a New Yorker at heart. He was the “Trim Guy,” selling buttons, trim, and lace to hundreds of customers in the schmata business over the years. He met his soulmate, Marla, 35 years ago and has always been her rock and quiet strength. Bill was the most wonderful, supportive husband to Marla, and they just truly loved being together. Bill made Marla the best cup of coffee every morning, made her laugh with his incredible sense of humor, and introduced Marla to old movies - his favorite was Casablanca. They also loved watching Seinfeld and Jeopardy together every night. Bill was also a devoted stepfather to Marla’s children Joel and Aly, although to Aly, he was her “Billiam,” as he helped raise her from the time she was 7 years old and never missed a theatre performance or sports game. Bill was the protective older brother of Steven and Donna, as well as a loving uncle to Cara, Erin, Paige, Jessica, and Michael. We are at peace knowing that he is finally reunited with his beloved son Noah and daughter Dana, both of whom passed before their time. We also know that Bill’s lifetime menagerie of furry friends will be simply delighted to see him again, especially his dogs Butch and Jersey.
