My deepest sympathies to Professor Naomi Caiden and her family as they grieve Professor Gerald Caiden. He was a giant in the field of public administration, compartative and development administration, and public accountability and ethics. He leaves a deep legacy.

Gerald and I have been close friends for more than sixty years, both in the United States and in Israel. He set an enviable ethical standard and was a devoted friend and advocate of Israel and Jewish causes. People of his caliber are not replaceable. Our deepest condolences to Naomi and the family.
