Adoring grandmother of Joshua (Rain) Sanderson, Jennifer (Ron) Schneidermann, Pamela Rosenthal, Debbye Rosenthal, Nicole Sanderson and Aryn (Aaron) Finestone

Treasured great-grandmother of Elijah, Ebony and Elana Sanderson; Olivia, Asher and Judah Schneidermann

Jean was born in 1927 in Chicago, Illinois later moving with her family to Los Angele where she met the love her life, Jerome (Jerry).  They were active in Hillel together, marrying in 1948 and enjoying 69 years of marriage together. Jean and Jerry were members of Valley Beth Shalom community for more than 30 years prior to moving to Palm Desert

Jean was an active member of the National Women’s League of Conservative Judaism, VBS sisterhood, heading the catering committee for years, and served on the synagogue’s Board of Directors.

Her family was her true joy in life.  Jean will be missed by her family, friends and community.
