I knew Marshall in high school and became good friends and was a year ahead of me. After I graduated we lost touch but about 20 years later we reconnected through a fluke he bought a house next door to our house in Canoga Park. We lost touch again when we relocated. The last time I was Marshall was at a high school reunion in the late 1990s. Marshall was always a very intelligent guy, great sense of humor and a great piano player. Sorry I didn't have an opportunity to see him again.

Marshall and I met in 1981 in LA. He was my first "play up" partner. He was also my partner when I made life master in 1985 and when our team won the Flight A GNT at the New York NABC in 2004. Over the years we played a lot of bridge, had a reasonable number of good results, and a lot of fun. He was a good partner and, more importantly, a good friend. Since I heard the news I find myself regularly thinking of stories and anecdotes from our time together. They make me smile. He is missed.

I met Marshall through bridge, and we bonded through our shared love of baseball in general and the Dodgers in particular. We exchanged baseball trivia questions. I will miss him and his wonderful sense of humor.

Marshall has been my friend for many years, along with his wife, Candy. He directed bridge games in Virginia and was a tournament director. In recent years he became a favored BBO partner and they were couples friends with my husband and me. He had a quick wit and was fun to be around. We will miss him!
