May 9, 1931 – June 24, 2012

Rachel Ribons, age 81.  Born in Charleroi, Belgium, Rachel was a Holocaust survivor. She fought in the Israel Independence War until 1948. She came to the US in 1956 with her charming husband Bernard who passed away suddenly last year. They were married for 55 years. She is survived by her daughter Laureen Waterman; son, Paul (Patty) Ribons; grandchildren, Matthew and Lacey Waterman, Heather, Jesse and Casey Ribons and great-granddaughter Lilyana; brother Jacques (Sandy) Ribons and many loving family and friends.  Her sweet demeanor, strength and beautiful smile will surely be missed by all who knew her.
