Honoring the Life of Anne McCuller
Anne McCuller (née Sacks) was born on July 28, 1945, to Louis and Minnie Sacks. The younger of two daughters, Anne grew up in a conservative Jewish home in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, where she embraced the traditions and values that continued to guide her throughout her life.
As a young woman, Anne was a vibrant and social presence, serving as a cheerleader at Roslindale High School. After graduation, she moved to California to pursue her passion for helping others. In 1981, she became a Registered Nurse, earning her Associate in Applied Science degree from the State University of New York at Albany. Anne dedicated more than 30 years to David Brotman Memorial Hospital, beginning her career in the burn unit and later devoting herself to behavioral health. Her compassion, steadiness, and commitment to patient care touched countless lives.
Outside of her work, Anne found joy in interior design and fashion, always creating beauty in the spaces around her. But above all, her greatest joy was motherhood. She cherished her son, Jason, and her granddaughter, Sy, showering them with unwavering love, encouragement, and support. She extended that same affection to her beloved pets—first Pebbles, and later Meeshe—who brought her comfort and companionship.
Anne left this world too soon on January 1, 2026. She is remembered with deep love by her family and friends, whose lives are forever enriched by her warmth, generosity, and spirit.

To my beautiful aunt. I always felt your love, and though you’re gone now, I still feel it. I can feel the memories. When I was a little kid, I thought life was forever. I thought my parents were forever. I thought you and Doc were forever. And in a special way, you are forever. I love you, Auntie-Ann. 4ever
