Audrey Garfinkel

Audrey Garfinkel was born on January 26, 1935, in Brooklyn NY. As a child growing up in New York she was exposed to many cultural things, including Broadway. As a kid, she and her mother would take the subway into NYC to see a Broadway show every Saturday.  If they had seen everything that was playing, they would go to Radio City Music hall to see the world famous Rockettes. Audrey's love of Broadway, musicals, and entertainment continued for the rest of her life. 

In 1954 Audrey met the love of her life, fellow New Yorker, Al Garfinkel, and they wed on May 26, 1956.  Al and Audrey were soulmates for 60 years of marriage until his death in 2017.  They started a family in 1958, which eventually grew to a family of five.  Audrey and Al moved many times over their lifetime, including Long Island, Florida, and they eventually came to California in 1979.  She loved spending time with her family, as well as going to the theater, movies, traveling, shopping, and playing Wii bowling, poker, Mah Jong and Canasta. 

Audrey is survived by her children Arnie (Bonnie) Garfinkel , Stacy (Lonnie) Alperson, and Julie (Vincent) DeBenedictis. Her grandchildren, Joelle Cornett, Mikey (Justine) Garfinkel, Kayla Alperson, Matt Alperson and Blake DeBenedictis.  She's also survived by her four Great-Grandchildren, Jack Cornett,  Brayden, Hudson, and Jett Garfinkel.  She will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her.
