Debra Phyllis Fishel

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Debra Phyllis Fishel, who departed this life on October 21, 2024, at the age of 72. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories. 

Debra was a beloved wife to Jack Fishel and a nurturing mother to her sons, Jeffrey Fishel and Dustin Fishel. Her family was the center of her world, and she delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, Paige, Leah, and Anthony. Debra’s family extended further to her daughters-in-law, Jeannine and Dayanna, fostering bonds that continued to grow over the years. 

She was also a dear sister to Roberta Baker and Marcia Jackman, and an adored aunt to Judith Baker. Known for her warmth and kindness, Debra touched many lives with her compassion. Her life's journey was marked by moments of joy shared with her family, the love she imparted, and the wisdom she passed on to those around her. 

A farewell ceremony will be held at the Tanach Chapel, Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills, providing an opportunity for family and friends to celebrate the life of a dedicated and loving woman. 

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society to honor Debra’s memory and support a cause dear to her heart. 

Debra will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy continues in the hearts of her loved ones, where her spirit will forever dwell. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
