Myles M Borofsky

Myles Mark Michael (Mickey) Borofsky passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27th 2022.  Beloved husband of Shirley Becker (1935-2017), stepfather to Steven, Jeff, and Dianne (1960-1990), Patricia and Haya Becker, and grandfather to Lauren, Jane, and Samuel Becker, and Ariel, Zoe, and Elijah Taitel.   Mickey worked for years as a producer in the film industry.  Among his credits were Junior Bonner and Jeremiah Johnson.  After he retired from the film industry, he taught for many years at Palisades High School. He loved travelling the world with Shirley, but he was just as happy at home in Malibu, entertaining friends and family or just going to movies and dinner with Shirley.  He and Shirley moved to the Motion Picture TV Fund home in Woodland Hills and he spent his last years there. Can we add the following before the last paragraph:  Mickey was born and raised in Los Angeles.  A Fairfax High School and UCLA alum, he loved the Bruins, Dodgers, Lakers, and Rams. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mickey’s memory to Variety, The  Children’s Charity of Southern California (https://varietysocal.org).
