Richard M. Myerson

Richard Martin Myerson (January 28, 1946 to February 23, 2023) of Woodland Hills, California, passed away on February 23, at the age of 77. Beloved father to Sami Myerson Khang and Shay Myerson, Mr. Myerson is also survived by his former wife, Sheryl Myerson, of Malibu, California. He was born on January 28, 1946 in East Providence, Rhode Island to the late Stanley Myerson and Evelyn Berlinsky Myerson. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island, he earned his MBA at New York University. Rick was formerly Executive Vice President of Theatrical Distribution at Twentieth Century Fox for over twenty-five years and prior to that worked in sales for Columbia Pictures in various East Coast branch offices. Rick was a fiercely devoted theatrical distribution executive who spent decades navigating the movie theatre landscape in North America. Rick was equally devoted to his loving daughters, Sami and Shay as they were to him in his later years. Rick proudly served on the board of the Motion Picture Television Fund for many years. His profound dedication to family, his Jewish roots, love of baseball and deep generosity touched everyone who knew him. He was a professional maker of mischief with a charming snarky wit that will be missed by lifelong friends and extended family.
