Grandma Sandy (or Mata, as I called her most of my life) was exactly what a grandmother should be like. She told you through actions and words that she loved you and never forgot to remind all of us just how much she did. Although distance created less opportunities to see each other I am more than fortunate to have been her grandson and to have her in my life for 43 years. In this picture Grandma Sandy and my daughter Addison are having a little time together. Addison was able to not only visit them on occasion but would periodically call and FaceTime with her great grandparents to just share what the day had brought. I am thankful she got to know her, if only for a brief period of time. And now we remind you Grandma Sandy…we love you…and we will miss you.
