David Schneider, 64, of Valencia, California, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2025, after a battle with glioblastoma. He was surrounded by his loving family.

David is survived by his wife Dana, his mother Marilyn, his brother Mark, and his children, Zachary and Jacob.

David earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Arizona State University. He started his career at Price Club where he would eventually meet his wife Dana. He spent the last 28 years of his career at FedEx office, where he served as a district manager. His colleagues admired his leadership, guidance, insight, and integrity.

David cherished his family and friends. A poker enthusiast, you could often find him playing with loved ones or sitting at the three-card or pai gow tables at a casino, quietly tracking not just his own hand but everyone else’s. After Dana and he bought their final house, he redesigned the interior and exterior to create a cozy and welcoming sanctuary using his extensive home improvement knowledge. He enjoyed traveling and would plan trips for his friends and family, often with extensively detailed itineraries to ensure a stress-free experience for his loved ones.

David was known for his kindness, intelligence, and empathy. He had an easy-going and welcoming presence and was loved by all who knew him. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Mt. Sinai Simi Valley Jewish Mortuary and Cemetery. A gathering at the Schneider home will follow for all who wish to celebrate his life in the relaxed company he so loved.

The family encourages donations to the National Brain Tumor Society (braintumor.org) in his honor.
