Jerold Lee (Jerry) Heisler

Jerold Lee Heisler, 87, passed away peacefully February 16, 2026, in Thousand Oaks, CA. Born in Chicago in 1938 to Anne (Holland) Heisler and Harold H Heisler, he attended Highland Park High School, graduating in 1956. Jerry attended Northwestern University and the University of Minnesota, graduating with a B.A. in Journalism. He married his wife Lois in 1962, had two daughters, and in 1976 became guardian to his beloved nephew.

Jerry grew a long and successful career in advertising, business, marketing, and public speaking. His experience and good humor influenced many professionals in the marketing field and made him a sought-after public speaker and consultant in his retirement.

He was co-founder of Children’s Theatre of Deerfield and served on Village Councils in both Deerfield and Lincolnshire, as well as President of Temple Am Shalom in Glencoe and the Indian Ridge Homeowners Association in Palm Desert.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lois (Goldberg) Heisler, children Eileen (Adam Wolman) Heisler and Marcy Heisler, nephew/son Kevin McCollum (Lynnette), brother James (Rhonda) Heisler, grandchildren Benjamin and Justin Wolman, niece and nephew/grandchildren Susie and Charlie McCollum, and other cherished family members and friends.  A private celebration of life was held in Westlake Village, CA.
